SubClock Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2, 2026
SubClock is made by Cubby Notes LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the SubClock app for iPhone and iPad handles and why.
Information that stays on your device
Everything you enter in SubClock is stored only on your device:
- Team names, player names, attendance and game settings
- Player photos you take or choose, which are cropped and saved inside the app
- Playing-time information during a game
We don't collect, upload, sell or share any of it. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it. If your device is backed up to iCloud, it may be included in that backup, which Apple handles under its own privacy policy.
Camera and photos
SubClock asks for camera access only when you choose to take a player photo. Photos chosen from your library use Apple's photo picker, which gives SubClock only the photo you select. Photos are never uploaded anywhere.
Notifications and Live Activities
SubClock can show a notification and a Live Activity when it's time to swap players. These are created on your device. No information is sent to us to deliver them.
Advertising (free version)
The free version of SubClock shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob on the team screens, never during a game. To serve and measure ads, Google's software may collect:
- Device identifiers (not the advertising identifier — SubClock never asks for tracking permission)
- Approximate location, based on IP address
- Ad interactions, such as whether an ad was shown or tapped
- Diagnostic information, such as crash and performance data
Google does not receive your rosters, player names or photos. Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences. Google's use of this data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
SubClock Pro removes ads entirely. Pro users' devices don't load Google's ads.
Purchases
SubClock Pro is purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The app checks with Apple whether you own SubClock Pro.
Children
SubClock is designed for coaches and parents to use, not for children to use on their own. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Player names and photos entered by a coach stay on the coach's device and are never sent to us or to Google.
Your choices
- Delete a player, a photo or a team at any time in the app.
- Turn camera, notification or Live Activity access on or off in your device's Settings.
- Remove all ads by purchasing SubClock Pro.
- Delete the app to remove all of its data from your device.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
